Blueprint 15 Rental Repair Pilot Program

Blueprint 15 has recently conducted neighborhood research which demonstrated that many of the properties within our footprint would benefit from receiving financial support for property rehabilitation and repair. Thanks to a grant administered by Enterprise Community Partners with a goal of preventing tenant displacement, Blueprint 15 partnered with local non-profit housing and neighborhood development organization Home HeadQuarters (HHQ) to pilot a Small Rental Repair Program to improve the health and safety of small rental properties in our footprint (1-3 unit rental properties). We can match up to $10,000 per unit, up to $30,000 per property, for the completion of necessary repairs. We are writing to inform you that your small rental property(ies) may be eligible for this program.

Please note that this is a grant, and if you awarded funding, you would not have to pay the match back. If you are interested in applying for this grant, please read the program details below.

Program Details & Requirements:

  • Program will target necessary health and safety related repairs such as roof replacement, porch work, siding, and mechanical replacement/upgrades, matching property owner’s funding dollar for dollar
  • Must be an occupied rental property (1-to-3-unit buildings only)
  • Property must be located within the Blueprint 15 target area (see map below)
  • Eligible projects will be awarded on a first come, first served basis, so apply today!

Home HeadQuarters can assist with financing for the match component for eligible applicants – see the enclosed Rental Rehab “FastApp” and flyer. You can also contact HHQ by emailing or calling 315-474-1939 and asking about matching financing for the Blueprint 15 Rental Repair Pilot Program.
